Cookie policy

Effective date: August 30, 2026

This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, when World Holidays may use them and how you can control your choices.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on a browser when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and identifiers used to remember settings, protect services, measure activity or deliver advertising. Some last only for the browsing session; others remain until they expire or you delete them.

Cookie categories

CategoryPurposeWhen used
Strictly necessarySecurity, network delivery and remembering a privacy choice.Where needed to operate the site or record consent.
AdvertisingAd delivery, frequency limits, measurement, fraud prevention and—where permitted—personalization. When Google AdSense is enabled, subject to consent and regional requirements.
PreferencesRemembering optional settings selected by a visitor.Only if a preference feature requires it.
AnalyticsUnderstanding aggregate use, navigation patterns and site performance. When Google Analytics is active, subject to applicable consent requirements and your choices.

Google Analytics

World Holidays uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site, which pages are useful and where performance or navigation can be improved. Google may receive information such as the page URL, referring page, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser or device details and interactions with the site. We use this information for aggregate reporting and site improvement, not to ask visitors to create personal profiles.

Google Analytics remains fully disabled until you select “Accept” in the analytics banner. If you reject or withdraw consent, the Analytics tag is disabled and first-party Google Analytics cookies created by this site are removed. Your choice is stored locally for up to six months so the banner does not appear on every visit. You can reopen it at any time using “Privacy & cookie settings”.

You can learn more in Google’s explanation of how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Google AdSense cookies

When pages contain active Google advertising tags, Google may set or read cookies and receive information such as the page URL and IP address. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s previous visits to this website or other websites, measure ad performance, control how often an ad appears and protect against invalid traffic.

AdSense cookies may be associated with Google domains, including google.com or doubleclick.net. Exact cookie names, providers and lifetimes can vary by device, region, consent choice and Google configuration. See Google’s explanations of how AdSense uses cookies and how Google uses partner-site information.

Consent for European visitors

The analytics banner controls Google Analytics only. Analytics is blocked until a visitor actively accepts, and accepting or rejecting requires a single click. Consent can be withdrawn later through “Privacy & cookie settings”.

If personalized Google advertising is activated for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, it will use a separate Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Analytics consent does not grant advertising consent.

Rejecting or withdrawing consent does not remove access to the calendar. It may mean that limited or non-personalized ads are shown, or that some advertising cannot be served.

How to manage your choices

Blocking all cookies may prevent a consent preference from being remembered, so the message may reappear on a later visit.

Changes and questions

This policy will be updated if World Holidays adds a new advertising, analytics or preference provider. For more information about other data processing, read the privacy policy. Questions can be sent through the contact page.
